Ten (10) Months

Ryker Kay at 10 months you...

• are so funny. Your facial expressions, the noises you make, the things you do... You are just funny
• sprouted 2 more top teeth! One on the left and one on the right. Still no bottom teeth yet
• have discovered the dogs water dish.. Let the mess begin
• are always on the move - into this and that, and then back over here to this cool thing..
• can seriously move, you crawl so fast it's crazy
• follow us around if we walk out of the room
• are a chicken and potatoes guy - we can't shovel it in fast enough
• have the best giggle. It seriously cracks us up
• are still in size 3 diapers
• get pissed off and tense up your body and clench your fists, your little stork bite sure pops out red too
• are no longer wearing 6 month clothes. Mommy packed it all up - and cried of course
• were getting into everything, so it forced Mom and Dad to baby proof the entire house. Baby gates, cupboard locks, electrical plugs - check, check, check
• are starting to express yourself more, especially when you're in disgust with something or you're not happy, with facial expressions. The skank faces you give are to die for - so hilarious!
• cough or grunt to get attention if we aren't looking at you
• have been a Mommy's boy the last week 
• are still up two times a night - heaven help me...
• have been cutting those two teeth I mentioned earlier and you've been so miserable - screaming fits out of the blue 
• love the bath tub. Every time we turn the water on you tense up and smile
• are pulling yourself up on to everything you can get your grip on
• have only taken a step or two while holding on to the couch once or twice, you really have no interest in walking right now - thank God
• jump when we try to 'walk' with you
• sleep really hot like Daddy. You are almost always sweaty when we pick you up in the mornings, blankets or not
• still love your puppies and Grandma's kitties. You always want to pet them or cuddle them
• are now in a convertible carseat!! We transitioned you over on May 29th
• came down with something May 23rd and got a fever of almost 104. We thought it was teeth, but it just lingered for a few days. Mom and Dad ended up taking you to the doctor to get checked out. Of course, it was 'nothing'
• weighed 20.8 lbs (47%) at your 9 month check up. You've gained 3 pounds in 3 months
• love scrambled eggs and noodles!
• keep getting more and more hair. You've got one particular hair on the right side of your head that is probably two inches longer than all the rest of them. It's always sticking straight out
• got to meet you future wife - Miss Ainsley Kaye - when aunt Brianne made a trip over from Colorado June 9th
• think getting pulled in the laundry basket is so funny
• are still EBF! I honestly don't think you'll ever stop! 
• have started sitting from crawling and crawling to sitting within the last week
• like to rest your head on everything - shoulders, your tray, the dogs
• also cuddle your toys by hugging them and bringing them to your cheek
• have the most ticklish little neck
• continue to light up Mom and Dad's life daily. You are the greatest gift that we could have ever received. We love watching you learn and grow. I catch myself and Daddy just staring at you in wonderment all the time. 10 months, so far, has been my favorite time with you. You're personality is developing everyday and you perfect new skills daily. Being your Mom is the best feeling in the whole wide word, and I know Daddy would agree.
