So, I've been creeping around BlogSpot for awhile now trying to decide if I wanted one of these things. I've done the MySpace and Facebook thing, both of which I'm addicted too, so why not have one more way of staying in contact with popele! I always have a good time reading the blogs of people I know and some that I don't know, i know it's kind of creeper... Most every one has a family or kids to talk about, but so far, it's just me, Scott, and Diesel, our Lab puppy.
I guess I'll give you a little inside in our life, I'm Maren. I'm 21 and am a life long resident of Pocatello,Idaho. I will never leave. This is home. It has so much to offer for being the small town that it is. I'm a full time student at ISU, majoring in Health Education and minoring in History. I just finished up with my... 8th semester and I should be done in a year and a half. I'm so excited, I cannot wait to be finished. When I'm not studying, I'm working. I'm an interior designer, I work for a locally owned small business in town. I LOVE IT. Design is a passion. It's such a release, I'm so grateful to love what I do. I would have gone into an interior design program, but fabulous ISU, doesn't offer the program. So, I had to pick a different road.
Scott, my knight in shining armour. He is 22 and from McCammon. He is a Hot Plant operator, he makes 'liquid gold' also known as asphalt, he has been with Jack B. Parson for going on 5 years now. He loves it. He was born for a hands on position and this is a prime spot for it. He is an avid outdoors men. He loves the snow, the sand, and the dirt. He introduce me to my now favorite pass time of 4-wheeling! And was even so kind to buy me my OWN wheeler. He loves fixing stuff and working... He cannot sit still for one freakin' second.
Scott and I have been together, for 8 years, most of you haven't been married OR dated that long. I know, why aren't you two married yet?! Well, we both have a respect for education. Education is so much more important for us than being married. We'll be married a lifetime, the opportunity for an education may not always be around. So, my graduation gift, in a year and a half, is a HUGE 'Platinum Weddings', the TV show, type of wedding. It keeps me motivated to keep going and finish!
Then we have Diesel, the newest member of the Nelson, my future last name, family. He is an 11 month of Lab puppy and also the light of our life! He is so super spoiled that it's sickening. We call him our first born, or Son, or Squirt.... Our families both refer to him as their 'Grand-DOG' Haha, love it! He has really made Scott and I realize we do want a family together because of how well we have rasied Diesel Dogg.. Sounds strange but it's true!
Well, when I figure out how to add pictures and stuff I'll add some. I hope you like my little blog and I'll do my best to add stuff as we go. If I don't get on before Christmas, MERRY CHRISTMAS. What a blessed time of year. Beyond the lights and tinsel and toys, don't forget the real reason for the season. Christ. How lucky Scott and I are to both be members of the LDS church. We are so lucky to know of His Gospel and have that guidance in our lives. Merry Christmas everyone!
